You’ll benefit from expert teaching, tailored support, and opportunities that help you build skills, grow in confidence, and prepare for your future career. Kent is where ambition meets opportunity, where you’ll be encouraged to think independently, explore new ideas, and reach your full potential.

Kent, The Garden of England

With rolling hills, coastal views, historic buildings and charming villages, it’s easy to see why Kent is known as the Garden of England.

Kent is England’s oldest county, rich in history and culture. It has more historic houses, castles and cathedrals than any other region in the country. Along its 350 miles of coastline, you’ll find the iconic White Cliffs of Dover featured in music, film and literature or, on a clear day, you can even see France from Folkestone.

Canterbury is the jewel in Kent’s crown. With its mix of history, culture and lively student life, there’s something here for everyone. The city is filled with bars, restaurants and independent shops, all set against a backdrop of cobbled streets and medieval architecture. At its heart is the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral, dating back to the 11th century, and home to the Archbishop of Canterbury, spiritual leader of the Church of England.

In Medway, you’ll find the Historic Dockyard Chatham, a centre of maritime heritage and the filming location for productions including James Bond, Sherlock Holmes and Les Misérables. Nearby, the town of Rochester, where Charles Dickens lived and wrote many of his novels, boasts a stunning cathedral, an 11th-century castle, and a high street full of traditional sweet shops, cafés and historic pubs.

Meet Aun, student from the Jordan

Aun If I Can Do It

I still remember the moment where I left home. That mix of anxiety and excitement. I was going to travel to a new foreign country as an international student … the staff members were tremendously amazing and helped me to feel like I’m belonged.
